Last updated: July 18, 2026

These terms cover buying and using Brieva for macOS, sold by BRIEVA (ABN 69 869 081 320), a business registered in New South Wales, Australia ("we"). The short version: you buy a license for yourself, the software is yours to use, your data stays on your Mac, and if it doesn't work out we refund you - see the refund policy.

License

System requirements

Brieva requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) running macOS 14.4+. Intel Macs are not supported. Full requirements are listed on the homepage and shown before checkout. Purchases made for unsupported hardware fall under the 14-day refund policy.

Third-party components

The app bundles open-source components and AI models under their own licenses - see third-party notices. AI model downloads come from huggingface.co and are subject to their terms.

Recording and consent

Laws on recording and transcribing conversations vary by country and state, and many places require the consent of everyone on the call. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your meetings, including notifying participants and obtaining consent where required. Brieva does not announce itself to other participants or obtain consent for you.

Disclaimers

Transcripts and AI summaries are generated automatically on your device and can contain errors. They are an aid, not a record of legal standing - review them before relying on them. The software is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid.

Sale & taxes

Payment, applicable VAT/sales tax, and invoices are handled by our payment processor at checkout.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
