Privacy Policy
Brieva is built on one idea: your meetings are none of our business. This policy is short because there is very little to disclose - the app collects nothing, and this website collects almost nothing.
The app
Brieva runs entirely on your Mac. We have no servers that receive your content, and no usage telemetry or analytics inside the app.
- Your calendar, the emails and documents you add to a meeting, audio, transcripts, and summaries never leave your Mac. Transcription and summarization run on-device, on Apple Silicon.
- The app's network traffic is limited to three things: fetching the calendar subscription (ICS) link you configure, every 5 minutes, from wherever your calendar provider hosts it; downloading AI models (5–25 GB depending on your Mac, typically once) from huggingface.co and GitHub; and checking updates.brieva.app for app updates. Update checks may include an anonymous license identifier - a one-way hash of your license key, used only to verify the key is still valid. It contains no personal details, and nothing about your meetings ever leaves your Mac. Like any web request, these expose your IP address to the hosting servers.
- Audio is not stored. In native capture mode the live transcript is the only record; no audio files are written.
- All app data lives in a local database under your macOS user account. Deleting the app and its Application Support folder removes it completely.
This website
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data; visitors are counted with a one-way hash of the IP address and browser that is discarded after 24 hours. We use it only to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. No other tracking scripts, and no cookies for tracking.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, pages requested) for security and abuse prevention.
- Purchases. Payment is handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see your card details. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license key and provide support.
- Support email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you. We don't add you to marketing lists.
Your data, your rights
To access or delete the data we hold about you (practically: your order record and any support emails), contact support@brieva.app. Data held by the payment processor is governed by their privacy policy.
